We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All logic runs locally inside your browser.

Clipboard Data: The Extension copies the current tab’s URL to your clipboard on demand. The URL is never transmitted or stored by the Extension.
Local Preferences: If you open options.html, two optional settings (badge display on/off and badge timeout) are saved using Chrome’s storage API. These values remain on your device and are not synced or shared.

2. Chrome Permissions We Request & Why

Permission	Purpose
`activeTab`	Temporarily access the URL of the tab you clicked so it can be copied.
`scripting`	Inject a small script on regular web pages to copy the URL to the clipboard.
`offscreen`	Create a hidden off‑screen document to copy URLs from restricted pages (e.g., `chrome://`).
`storage`	Save the optional badge and timeout settings you set in the Options page.

3. How We Use Information

The Extension uses the information described above solely to provide its core function—copying the current page’s URL. No data ever leaves your browser.

4. Analytics & Third‑Party Services

The Extension includes no advertisements, analytics, or third‑party tracking libraries.

5. Data Security

Because we do not collect personal information, the primary security concern is your local environment. The Extension operates entirely within Chrome’s sandboxed extension environment and does not maintain persistent background pages.

6. Children’s Privacy

The Extension is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Your Rights & Choices

Since no personal data is stored, you do not need to request access, deletion, or correction of personal data. You may uninstall the Extension at any time to remove all locally stored preferences.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect minor technical or legal changes. We will update the “Last updated” date above when changes occur. Your continued use of the Extension after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
